Candice Kroemelbein

I began my professional journey in psychology at Kutztown University, driven by a desire to understand the human experience and support those in need. Early experience as a Therapeutic Support Staff member and Case Manager provided me with a grounded perspective on the systemic challenges clients face. This led me to my first counseling role at a drug and alcohol treatment facility, where I discovered a passion for addiction recovery.

To better serve my community, I pursued a Master’s in Counseling Psychology at Holy Family University. During this time, I had the honor of interning with the Network of Victim Assistance (NOVA) in Bucks County, supporting survivors of crime in their healing processes. After obtaining my Master’s, I accepted a position as a Drug and Alcohol Therapist at the Family Services Association of Bucks County, where I completed the rigorous supervision and requirements to become a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).

My practice is built on the belief that everyone possesses the strength to stand strong in recovery. My mission is to provide a safe, compassionate space where clients can foster growth and achieve lasting transformatio

CEO/LCSW

James Ross

Hi, I’m James Ross, LCSW, a licensed psychotherapist, community advocate, and founder of JRS Counseling Services, LLC, licensed to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware. With more than 16 years of social work experience, I have served individuals, couples, families, and communities across a variety of clinical and community-based settings. Born and raised in a community impacted by trauma, poverty, violence, and loss, I bring both professional expertise and lived understanding to my work. I earned a B.S. in Psychology from Kutztown University and a Master of Social Work from Widener University, and specialize in clinical assessment, psychotherapy, intervention development, program implementation, and community engagement. My work is guided by the R.E.N.E.W. Framework—Relationships, Empowerment & Education, Nurturing New Beginnings, Empathy, and Winning—and a commitment to providing personal, culturally responsive care that empowers people to heal, grow, and become the best versions of themselves.

My vision extends beyond the therapy room through the Renewal Transformation Center (RTC), an initiative of JRS Counseling Services designed to help individuals and families pursue healthy second chances. Through counseling, psychoeducation, referrals, job readiness and personal development, parenting education, support groups, youth programming, and community partnerships, RTC combines behavioral health services with practical resources that address the needs of the whole person. Whether working with an individual, family, or community organization, my mission is to equip people with the tools, relationships, and opportunities needed to overcome barriers and create meaningful, lasting change—rebuilding our communities brick by brick through the transformation of each individual’s RENEWED mind.
